The cafe's design is a contemporary industrial style space of exposed brick walls, funky counters and polished concrete floors. The space is modern and unpretentious - much like Wonthaggi with its coal mining past and down to earth farming and rural clientele. As the name suggests, coffee is of supreme importance at The Coffee Collective. Customers received Melbourne-quality coffee, each and every visit. With a background in tourism, owners James Archibald and Ella Godbold knew of the amazing food producers in the Gippsland area and wanted to showcase the great local produce on offer. The menu includes slow cooked local pulled pork baguette, South Gippsland beef burger with house-made pickles and the Quinoa burger. Breakfast is also served daily. The flavours are fresh, with a focus on locally sourced products. The Collective's take on food is stylish and modern. The focus is simple local, organic and sustainable food served alongside Gippsland's best coffee offering.
